Baluchistan and it’s Fate
No doubt Baluchistan is the most neglected and poorest province of our country. The kidnapping of Senior UN official in Baluchistan and brutal killings has made the daily happenings of Baluchistan the headlines of every news channel. The point of concerned is that our governments whether the present one or the former ones have really not thought of making development which can change the due course of that province.
In contrast to it, the budget allocated to the province of Baluchistan is not utilized to the fullest in order to bring a 360 change in the province. In Pakistan there are big FMCG’s and firms running we have about $1 billion of direct foreign investment but still no one to thing about the most neglected province. The condition of Baluchistan is worsening is also because of the reason that people are deprived of the basic necessities of life and children are not given the due right of education. If at least we educate the people of the Baluchistan and to make opportunities for them then we can surely make our province better.
We have discussed a lot about what are the drawbacks resulting in a deprived situation of Baluchistan but we should also highlight that what government has thought of doing there:
“Chief Minister Nawab Aslam Raisani has reiterated that no military operation was under way in the province and that the law and order situation was better as compared to other places. Talking to media personnel, he said the Baluchistan package had created employment opportunities … and the provincial budget was people-friendly. The chief minister said the government was planning to develop new roads and hospitals and advised youngsters to avail job opportunities in the Frontier Constabulary and Pakistan Army. He advised youngsters to throw away weapons and try solving their problems with the power of democracy”.
On one hand the positive side has this aspect in fact after encouraging of what government has the intention to do with the people of Baluchistan, so one the other side we should see the ground realities of the Baloch nationalists that:
Ø Thousands of Baloch are missing
Ø Deprived of the basic necessities of life
Ø No successful talks between the government and Baloch nationalists to resolve the issues and come on direct terms
Ø And no positive step taken by the government for the peace in Baluchistan.
Reality is bitter but the cons of baloch people lie within the sardars of the poor baloch people who have been neglected and lagged behind by their own leaders first of all and then by the non serious ever corrupt governments who have been corrupt for the whole country and sadly more ignorant to our beautiful province Balochistan.
